Michael Beebe

(1958 -

Born: Indianapolis, Indiana

Michael Beebe grew up in central Indiana where he started playing golf as a young boy by sneaking onto the second hole of Sunblest Golf Course, a 9-hole course designed by William Diddel. His love for the game led him to work on the maintenance crew at another Diddle course, Hawthorne Hills, during his high school years. These experiences led him to pursue an education and career in golf course architecture.

Following graduation from Ball State University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree, Michael started his career in course design by going to work for Charles Ankrom, a golf course architect based in Stuart, Florida. In 1985 he moved to north Florida to work with Mark McCumber's design company.

He left McCumber Golf in 1998 to start his own design company, Beebe & Associates, Inc.
